Few years back I was attending a big seminar/ information meeting with around 200 people.
There was a topic going which I don't remember exactly but I commented on a topic loudly "Arbeiten muss spaß machen" (Work must be fun) because mostly we live for work.
Oops
I got attention suddenly. The speaker sent his assistant with the microphone
towards me. He asked "What did you just say? 'We live for Work'? Tell me what do you mean because I don't agree with you."
I was not prepared for this moment but I explained him shortly why I think so and also asked him few questions:
My questions to him were:
- Tell me how many hours you are at work?
- Tell me how many hours you are at home?
Just
remove sleeping time because at that time you are basically nowhere.
- So now tell me where you are spending most of your time?
- At work or somewhere else?
- Now think again of my words and why I said this?
He was shocked and said I will come back to you. This disturbs him.
What do you think? Do you live for work too? Have you thought on this point?
